Mi s-a parut prea fortata si in unele momente poate chiar falsa.
In rest... KEEP SUPPORTING EXTREME MUSIC !
Not having had the opportunity to see Deicide until now, (nor knowing when I'll be able to,especially since Benton is canceling all of the concerts), I went to the concert thinking of them too for a bit, since there is a kind of connection between them and Vital Remains.
I'm sorry I didn't get there in time for the first two opening bands, Abnormyndeffect and Tribulation, but I managed to catch a good part of Diabolical. . The Swedish adopt a well thought, well built death-black metal, perfect for warming up what little public was present at the concert (about 70 people), for what followed.
Honestly,I've never listened to them before, but last night's concert made me a little bit more interested in the band. After them, the last opening band - Order Of Ennead went on stage. The main attraction for everyone at the concert was the drummer, Steve Asheim, already known for his contribution to Deicide. The band's performance was pretty good, as was the adopted style, a black-death metal with some progressive elements, but unfortunately, his voice leaves little to be desired.
It felt slightly strained and sometimes even false. However, this we can close our eyes to... especially since it's not important for such a band. After about 30 minutes of waiting, Vital Remains stepped on stage. It's realy is something to see a band of this magnitude in a club like Irish Music & Pub.
I was expecting more people to show up,at least now, but I could've been expecting in vain .In any case... those present were enough to make the band to feel good and give us an unforgettable show. They began with "Icons Of Evil", the song that bears the name of the current tour. "Scorned", "Dechristianize" and "Infidel" followed,as well as other songs from band's first albums. The sound seemed a little low, especially since you could hardly sit in the front, next to the speakers for Diabolical. The recital was pretty short, around one hour and 20 minutes. To conclude, I can say it was a successful concert and I congratulate Hatework for another by the book event. I hope there will be more people at the this kind of following concerts.
